Allow me to introduce myself. I am Rubi, your wedding celebrant.
One of my favorite things to do is to marry people. I love the energy and excitement between the bride and groom as they speak words of commitment to one another. May favorite kind of weddings to perform are last-minute elopements.
I’ve performed all kinds of wedding ceremonies, from traditional double ring ceremonies to ceremonies without rings, ceremonies with brooms, and hand fasting ceremonies using all different kinds of binding ties. I married one of my sisters twice (to the same guy). I perform last minute elopements, commitment ceremonies, same-sex marriages, and vow renewals.
I love to find beautiful spots or hidden corners of Savannah for ceremonies, but will travel to Bonaventure cemetery, Tybee beach, South Carolina (for same-sex celebrations) or wherever you fancy. I have gone as far as Puerto Rico and New England. I’ve performed ceremonies for couples having destination weddings outside the US, for military couples, and even secret ceremonies for couples in the midst of planning huge wedding festivities.
I spent more than two decades as a chef on private and charter yachts all over the world. Having worked for wealthy and famous clients, you can be assured of my discretion and professionalism.
I am an artist and a writer. My husband and I eloped in a hot air balloon 15 years ago and to this day I think it was the most amazing wedding of all time.
I would love to speak with you about your own ceremony. Email me: rubi(at)rubistudios(dot)com
